The Data Specialist role is a full-time hybrid position based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom, with flexibility for some work from home. This role involves working closely with client and internal teams to collect, manage, and analyse data across cloud and hybrid environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Designing and maintaining data models
  • Performing data analysis and quality checks
  • Supporting data integration and migration activities
  • Contributing to analytics and reporting solutions
  • Helping interpret complex datasets for business stakeholders
  • Documenting processes and data flows
  • Collaborating on data strategy initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with data governance and privacy standards
  • Supporting continuous improvement of data tools and practices

Qualifications

  • Strong data analysis capabilities, including Data Analysis and Data Analytics, to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficient Data Management skills, covering data collection, storage, quality assurance, and governance in cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to troubleshoot data issues, validate results, and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Experience with Data Modeling, including designing, implementing, and maintaining data models that support reporting and advanced analytics.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar technologies).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating data findings into practical recommendations.
  • Experience working in consultancy, data-focused teams, or complex multi-stakeholder environments is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid setup, managing priorities independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
