Description
Join FINMAR’s Ipswich-based technical management team and help develop the data, reporting and analytical capabilities that support WTW’s global Financial Lines market proposition.
FINMAR supports selected insurers writing Financial Lines coverages through WTW’s FINEX Global broking team, providing data analytics, carrier advocacy, pipeline management and reporting across Europe, Asia Pacific and North America. This role helps maintain and improve the systems, data environments and reporting products that underpin FINMAR’s global service.
The opportunity would suit someone who is analytical, technically curious and detail-focused, with an interest in data strategy, reporting, automation and AI-enabled technologies.
The Role
- Develop a strong understanding of FINMAR data, platforms, applications and reporting environments.
- Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technical and analytical solutions.
- Support product, reporting and service improvements, including guidance for support teams.
- Build reporting solutions for urgent or complex requirements and transition them for ongoing maintenance.
- Support IT and data-related projects, applying testing, validation and audit techniques to maintain data quality.
- Manage stakeholder expectations clearly and spend regular time working with colleagues in the Ipswich office

Qualifications
What you’ll bring
- Genuine interest in data manipulation, analysis and reporting, with a practical delivery mindset.
- Ability to quickly understand business processes, data sources, inputs and outputs.
- Methodical problem solver with logical thinking, strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Clear communicator, comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive learner who can build business knowledge and technical capability over time.
Essential
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL and Excel skills.
- Good working knowledge of Python.
- Understanding of the opportunities presented by AI tools and technologies.
Desirable
- Databricks experience or knowledge.
- Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, VBA or DAX experience.
