Data & Microsoft Solutions Lead
Location: Hitchin
Working Pattern: Hybrid, minimum 3 days per week onsite
Salary: circa £80,000

We're partnering with a well-established and highly respected UK organisation that is investing heavily in its technology and data capabilities. As part of this journey, they are looking to appoint a Data & Microsoft Solutions Lead to shape how data, analytics, automation and AI drive value across the business.
This is a senior leadership role where you'll act as the technical authority for enterprise data architecture, Microsoft 365 solutions, SharePoint, Power Platform and emerging AI technologies. You'll have the opportunity to influence long-term strategy while delivering solutions that improve decision-making, collaboration and operational efficiency.
What you'll be doing
- Define and own the enterprise data, analytics and Microsoft solutions strategy
- Lead the evolution of data architecture, business intelligence and AI capabilities
- Act as the design authority for Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Power Platform
- Drive adoption of Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and Microsoft Copilot
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for automation, AI and data-driven decision making
- Develop governance frameworks covering data quality, security and responsible AI usage
- Design scalable solutions integrating Microsoft technologies with ERP and wider business systems
- Lead best practice across analytics, reporting, collaboration and workflow automation
- Mentor technical teams and provide architectural leadership across the wider IT function
- Manage third-party vendors and technology partners

What we're looking for
You'll bring a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on technical expertise, alongside the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Key experience includes:
- Strong experience across the Microsoft Azure Data ecosystem including Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL and Data Lake
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouse, Warehouse and OneLake
- Expertise in Power BI, including semantic models, datasets and governance
- Experience designing enterprise data architectures and analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Power Platform
- Knowledge of AI, automation and emerging Microsoft technologies such as Copilot
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience leading technical teams, mentoring others and driving technology strategy
