About the Role
We're currently seeking a Data Warehouse Architect who will be responsible for establishing, optimising, and governing a unified enterprise data platform that enables data-driven decision-making. Acting as a bridge between complex raw data and meaningful business insight, the role involves designing scalable, high-performance Lakehouse and data warehouse architectures. By centralising data assets, implementing robust security frameworks, and removing data silos, the architect ensures the organisation has a single, reliable source of truth to support advanced analytics and AI initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Expertise in Microsoft Fabric (OneLake) and Databricks (Unity Catalog) architecture
- Experience building scalable lakehouse and warehouse solutions (Databricks SQL, Fabric SQL)
- Strong data pipeline development using Databricks Workflows, DLT, and Fabric Data Factory
- Knowledge of Delta Lake and cross-platform data strategies to reduce duplication
- Data governance expertise, including Unity Catalog, RLS, and data lineage
- Experience managing compute across Fabric and Databricks environments
- CI/CD knowledge using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Databricks Asset Bundles
- Proficiency in PySpark, Databricks SQL, T-SQL, and Delta Lake internals
- Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture and modern data modelling (Star Schema, Data Vault 2.0)
- Experience optimising Databricks performance and integrating with Power BI (Direct Lake)

Job Responsibilities
- Design global architectural blueprints combining Microsoft Fabric OneLake and Databricks Unity Catalog.
- Build optimised Lakehouse and warehouse structures using Databricks SQL and Fabric SQL endpoints.
- Establish data pipelines using Databricks Workflows, Delta Live Tables (DLT), and Fabric Data Factory.
- Formulate cross-platform data strategies utilising shared Delta Lake formats to eliminate data duplication.
- Implement unified data governance, access controls, and Row-Level Security (RLS) via Unity Catalog.
- Direct multi-engine computation strategies using Fabric capacities alongside Databricks clusters.
- Define CI/CD deployment frameworks across both platforms using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Databricks Asset Bundles.
