- Deliver enhanced asset management across client portfolios
About the Role
The Data Warehouse Technical Lead will develop, support, and evolve a critical on-premise "common data environment" (CDE) as part of an integrated solution. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, building, testing, and evolving the CDE to ingest data from KBR and client systems.
- Ensuring structured, efficient data flow for paginated reports and Power BI dashboards via a Gateway to KBR’s Azure instance.
- Supporting analytic teams providing insights on client estate data.
Role Responsibilities
Working within the FMI ITIM Team
- Specify high-level and low-level data models, ETL plans, and warehouse designs.
- Build, unit test, and deploy data warehouses within integrated solutions.
- Develop paginated reports and dashboards to meet multi-organisational information needs.
- Assist in project management (planning, effort estimation, progress reporting).
- Support and develop the BAU solution as part of service management.

Collaboration with FMI BI/MI Lead
- Define the MI Operating Model to capture, assess, develop, and deliver structured, auditable, and repeatable reporting for stakeholders.
Collaboration with FMI Technical Product Owner
- Advise and contribute to the strategic technical product set, particularly data and reporting-layer strategy.
- Support technical transformation projects through definition, development, and closure.
Technical Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience developing, deploying, and supporting multi-source SQL data warehouses in on-premise environments.
- Proficiency with the full Microsoft Stack: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS.
- Experience creating, documenting, and refining data models for management reporting.
- Expertise in ETL procedures transferring data from multiple sources to a unified system.
- Strong collaborative skills bridging technical and operational teams.
- Ability to author robust technical documentation (clarity, maintainability).
- Demonstrated technical leadership—ability to:
- Anticipate industry trends
- Translate complexity into actionable insights
- Explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience in second-line technical resolver support, resolving root-cause issues.
- Knowledge of Paginated Reports for Power BI, deploying to Azure for report consumers.
- Experience building on-premise data warehouses connecting to Azure/Power BI/SharePoint.
- Proven experience in project/programme environments, creating detailed, achievable, and maintainable plans.

Desirable
- Experience in Facilities Management Integrator (FMI) environments, particularly:
- ETL routines from Concept Evolution → Data Warehouse.
- Managing low-quality/integrity-challenged client data.
- Background in VBA/.BAT programming.
- Experience with Scrum teams and sprint ceremonies.
- Contributions to technical/data governance.
- Understanding of Agile best practices (code reviews, unit tests, Test-Driven Development (TDD)).
- Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
- Familiarity with MS Teams collaboration.
- Familiarity with Facilities Management industry/business sectors.
- Experience working with public sector clients.
- Preferred: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or Engineering.
Project Location & Work Arrangement
- Based in Leatherhead, UK, with a hybrid working model.
