Location: Central London or Manchester – on-site, 5 days per week.

The Role
One of our platinum accounts requires an experienced Database Administrator. The successful candidate will:
- Work within a database support team
- Be focused, motivated, and possess good interpersonal skills
- Optimise and tune database performance
- Assist in database migrations

Key Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring database binaries
- Writing and maintaining scripts to automate DBA tasks
- Investigating and implementing automation of processes
- Performing routine, periodic, and proactive operation and monitoring
- Troubleshooting database-related issues
- Executing patching and upgrades to ensure data security
What You Will Bring to the Team

Desirable Skills & Technologies
Experience in:
✔ Databases technologies (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) ✔ Operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Windows Server) ✔ Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS and AWS databases, including migrations) ✔ Automation tools (e.g., Ansible) ✔ Database monitoring (e.g., OEM, Nagios) ✔ Scripting (e.g., Powershell, Bash) ✔ High availability and disaster recovery (e.g., clustering, failover) ✔ Replication tools (e.g., Data Guard, PostgreSQL’s Replication Manager, MongoDB ReplicaSets) ✔ Backup/recovery procedures and scripting
