Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $25 – $70/hour
About the Role
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Database Administrator to work on a contract basis. The role involves managing and optimizing database systems to ensure high performance, security, and reliability. Responsibilities include database design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems to meet organizational needs
- Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient query execution and resource utilization
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks and data corruption
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and data-driven decision-making

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Experience with database design, indexing, and query optimization
- Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Familiarity with cloud-based database services and virtualization technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
