Database Migration Engineer (Fixed-Term Contract, 2 Months)
About the Role
We are seeking a database migration engineer to migrate an on-prem SQL Server database into AWS RDS during a 2-month fixed-term contract, commencing immediately.
You must have:
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server
- Direct knowledge of AWS RDS
- Proficiency with data migration tools
- A proven track record of completing production cloud migrations with zero downtime or data loss

Key Responsibilities
- Consolidate multiple databases onto a single server
- Design and implement data migration and synchronisation processes between on-premises and cloud environments
- Set up and optimise AWS RDS SQL Server in high-availability mode
- Document migration processes
- Lead hands-on handover sessions for in-house developer teams
