Database Reliability Engineer
Senior Data & Database Engineer - Fuse Energy
Fuse Energy is a forward-thinking renewable energy startup on a mission to deliver a terawatt of renewable energy — fast. We're combining first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system. We’ve raised $210M from leading investors including Multicoin, Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, and strategic backers like Nico Rosberg, who also co-founded Solana. Alongside industry-leading general partners from Meta, Revolut, Spotify, Uber, and more, we’re building a fully integrated energy company: from solar/wind/hydrogen projects, real-time power trading, and distributed energy, to an innovative Energy Network that decentralises smart devices for off-peak electrification.
By cutting the middleman, reducing costs, and streamlining direct-to-consumer sales, we secure savings and seamless grid stability—critical for scaling industries like AI data centers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
