Pre-Sales Solutions Architect – Databricks

Remote (UK)
Up to £120,000 Base (DOE) + £30,000–£50,000 OTE

A rapidly growing UK cloud and data consultancy is looking to hire a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to play a key role in expanding its Databricks practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with customer engagement, working closely with enterprise clients to shape modern data, AI and Lakehouse solutions. You'll lead the technical sales process from discovery and solution design through to demonstrations, proof of concepts and proposal development, while collaborating with delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise customers.
  • Design Databricks-based solutions across AWS, Azure and GCP.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations and proof of concepts.
  • Shape responses to RFPs, proposals and Statements of Work.
  • Work closely with sales, delivery and technology teams to develop commercially viable solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on modern data platforms, analytics, machine learning and Generative AI.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in Pre-Sales, Solutions Architecture or technical consulting within modern data platforms.
  • Strong Databricks knowledge, including Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, Unity Catalog and Databricks SQL.
  • Experience designing cloud-based data platforms on AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical stakeholders and senior business leaders.
  • Commercial awareness and experience supporting bids, proposals or customer workshops.
  • Databricks certifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
