Datacentre Facilities Engineer (HVAC) - Heathrow/Slough - New
Up to £32k + Benefits
Location: Heathrow (with some travel to other sites as required)
Please note, to be considered for this role you must be eligible for SC Clearance and hold a full, UK driving license.
A leading organisation requires a Datacenter Engineer to join its growing team. Suitable candidates will have the following experience:
- Technical Expertise: Working Knowledge of critical infrastructure, including electrical systems (switchgear, generators) and HVAC systems.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot systems under pressure.
- Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work with IT, contractors, and vendors. Keeping a cool head when others don’t.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work on-call, weekends, or holidays to ensure 24/7 operations are met.

As mentioned above, suitable candidates will have a working knowledge of LV Electrical systems, HVAC and Security Systems.
Responsibilities will include:
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor and maintain power (UPS, generators), cooling, and fire detection/suppression systems.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Actively diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform daily, weekly, or monthly inspections of infrastructure using PPM Schedules. Working on site with external contractors and supervising contractors for repairs.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA and site-specific policies.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Use building management systems (BMS) to monitor systems and react to changes.
- Project Coordination: Assist with clients onto the data floor to ensure best practice is followed in the safe racking of equipment.
- Traveling: As required to other sites to assist as required during times of staff shortage or specific projects requiring additional personnel.
