As a Day Care Worker, you’ll be involved in providing practical care and helping create a supportive, engaging environment for those who attend our service.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting service users with personal care while maintaining dignity and independence
  • Acting as a key worker and helping to develop and review individual care plans
  • Building positive relationships with service users, families, and carers
  • Supporting and leading group activities that promote wellbeing and social interaction
  • Assisting with meals, including preparation and service
  • Helping to keep the centre clean, safe, and welcoming
  • Keeping accurate records in line with organisational policies and SSSC requirements

What we’re looking for

  • A caring, reliable, and respectful approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office
  • SVQ Level 3 in Social Care, or willingness to work towards it
  • Ability to work in line with CrossReach’s Christian ethos and support service users’ choices in this area

Requirements

  • Be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks
  • Be registered with SSSC and ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration
  • Have the relevant permission to work in the UK
