Day Concierge. Manchester
Hourly Rate: £13.50
Contract: Permanent, 16 hours per week
Working Hours Between: 6am – 9pm, varied days and shift patterns
Designed for the lifeblood of the city such as graduates starting their careers, Union CoLiving apartments provide a platform for young professionals to thrive. Central locations providing easy access to work, beautifully styled apartments, co-working space, and social hubs. We’re expanding our Day Concierge team with the appointment of an experienced customer-focused professional to deliver a luxury, home-from-home experience for our residents.
Our Concierge Team
Provide an exceptional & personalised service to residents by anticipating and delivering to their needs; offering information on local attractions, and handling enquiries with a focus on creating a seamless and positive experience:
- Front of House / Reception; greet and welcome residents and guests with a warm, friendly, and vibrant attitude.
- Manage room turn arounds, check-in, and check-outs.
- Be on hand for questions which may arise.
- Ensure our facilities are being looked after respectfully by residents & guests.
- Be on hand, delivering solutions to issues or challenges that may arise.
Additional Responsibilities: Our Concierge team are responsible for delivering a multitude of additional tasks, including:
- Maintain the upkeep of our premium site & facilities; communal areas must be cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
- Conduct block walks every 4-6 hours surveying and reporting every area of the building.
- Replenish refreshment stock, such as coffee beans, tea bags, milk, and vending machine products.
- Be a point of contact for any potential incident or emergency that may occur onsite.
- Manage & store parcels correctly to allow residents to easily access deliveries as required.
- Maintain waste management areas adhering to health & safety regulations, ensuring potential hazards are addressed / cleaned / tidied / reorganised as required.
Who we want to join our team
Professional Experience
An experienced customer service professional, well-versed in delivering premium experiences to residents & guests.
Previous Concierge experience would be an advantage.
We’re not looking for professional cleaners, but need people who can demonstrate a hands-on, proactive approach to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of communal areas.
Our operations run seamlessly with the support of a variety of technology systems and software; our Day Concierge must be technologically astute.

Personal Characteristics

- Excellent communication skills. English will be the primary spoken language; however, multi-lingual skills would be warmly welcomed.

- Able to carry out tasks that may involve extended periods of standing and repetitive movements, with reasonable adjustments considered where required.
Flexibility: Our facilities are open to residents 24 hours a day, 356 days a year, including all bank holidays, festive & religious breaks. Where festive and religious celebrations require time off, we will always try to accommodate, however, flexibility from our Day Concierge is imperative to be available as required to ensure continuous service to residents.
