Senior Care Assistant – Cedar Grange (Days & Nights) - £14.00/hour
Location: Main Street, Cherry Burton, Beverley HU17 7RF Hours: 44-hour episodic (Days + Alternate Nights) or 33 hours per week (Days + weekends) for 12 months (Maternity Leave Cover)

The Role
Our Senior Care Assistant delivers hands-on caregiving while leading junior staff, ensuring our gold-standard person-centred care is sustained. You will guide and support your team, observe residents’ well-being, and maintain a safety and dignity-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
Direct Resident Care
- Support with personal care (washing, dressing, toilet needs, mobility).
- Promote dignity, independence, and individual rights.
- Monitor health changes and report to senior staff/nurses.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Supervise and develop junior care staff and new members.
- Lead by example, fostering a safe, inclusive, and compliant workspace.
Compliance & Health/Safety
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and legal code compliance in the care environment.
- Communicate effectively with residents, Council, and senior teams to ensure trust and consistency.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: As a Senior Care Assistant or comparable role in a care home.
- Qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or studying for it).
- Leadership: Strong communication, team-building, and mentoring skills.
- Passion: A dedicated ambition to elderly care and professional growth.
