Pay Details: Grade 4 Spinal Point 5-7 (£25,989- £ 26,403) pro rata

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hour Monday-Friday

Main Place of Work: Barry, Woodlands and Trysor O’Le

Description:

You will support individuals with a learning disability who may also have complex needs, to participate in meaningful day opportunities in the community and at the service base, to enable them to achieve their wellbeing outcomes. This will involve driving duties, to safely transport individuals to activities, as per their person-centered plans. You will be required to attend to the personal care and health needs of individuals. You will also maintain records and help to compile reports.


About You

You will need:

  • Experience of working with Adults with Learning Disabilities
  • Experience of driving large vehicles, with a willingness to drive wheelchair adapted vehicles, when required
  • Full valid driving licence covering the use of manual vehicles
  • Experience of meeting individuals’ personal care needs
  • Good general standard of education
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Reliable, flexible and sensitive

Additional information

DBS Check Required: Adults Enhanced

Driving Licence: The post requires you to drive wheelchair adapted vehicles with a Section 19 permit. As a result, you will need to have held a full valid driving licence covering the use of manual vehicles for at least 2 years and be aged 21 or over.
