About Viridor

Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.

Opportunity

We have an opportunity in Glasgow for a Day Shift Team Leader to join our team working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

The Day Shift Team Leader is responsible for:

  • The health and safety of all staff, contractors to site, and visitors to site
  • Implementing and monitoring systems and processes through good practice to maximize the process ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Delivering customer expectations in terms of service and product quality
  • Operating the site in an efficient and effective manner

The Day Shift Team Leader will be the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) complying with Viridor’s Safety Rules to provide a Safe System of Work. The role includes the supervision of the ERF Tipping Hall, IBA Hall, and Weighbridge area, and of contractors when carrying out activities on site.
