The Daytime Tutor role is a part-time, on-site position based in Harrogate. The tutor will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons to primary and/or secondary learners in small groups or one-to-one sessions during daytime hours. Responsibilities include:

- Planning and preparing learning materials
- Assessing learner progress
- Adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs
- Maintaining clear communication with North Tuition coordinators
- Contributing to learner reports
- Promoting a supportive, inclusive learning environment
- Ensuring that sessions are conducted in a professional manner and in line with safeguarding and organisational guidelines
Qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge in primary and/or secondary school curricula, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching to different learning styles.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching within UK school or tutoring settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Good organisational and time-management skills, including lesson planning, progress tracking, and punctual delivery of sessions.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, holding an up-to-date enhanced DBS.
- Ability to work collaboratively with North Tuition staff and follow agreed programmes and policies while maintaining professional standards.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
