dbt Semantic Model Architect / Engineer

📍 Location: Fully Remote (WFH)

💰 Rate: £700/day

📅 Contract: 12 weeks (strong potential for extension)

We're looking for an experienced dbt Semantic Model Architect / Engineer to join a high-impact data transformation project. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing dbt MetricFlow semantic models, building data pipelines into Snowflake, deploying the dbt Cloud Semantic Layer, and helping establish a governed metrics layer for analytics.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design and build dbt MetricFlow Semantic Models (entities, dimensions, measures, and metrics)
  • Develop ingestion pipelines from external APIs into Snowflake
  • Deploy and manage the dbt Cloud Semantic Layer and Semantic Layer API
  • Configure metadata, access control, and governance
  • Build a lightweight natural language query interface
  • Migrate business logic from Power BI and Tableau into a governed semantic layer
