dbt Semantic Model Architect / Engineer
📍 Location: Fully Remote (WFH)
💰 Rate: £700/day
📅 Contract: 12 weeks (strong potential for extension)
We're looking for an experienced dbt Semantic Model Architect / Engineer to join a high-impact data transformation project. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing dbt MetricFlow semantic models, building data pipelines into Snowflake, deploying the dbt Cloud Semantic Layer, and helping establish a governed metrics layer for analytics.

What you'll be doing:
- Design and build dbt MetricFlow Semantic Models (entities, dimensions, measures, and metrics)
- Develop ingestion pipelines from external APIs into Snowflake
- Deploy and manage the dbt Cloud Semantic Layer and Semantic Layer API
- Configure metadata, access control, and governance
- Build a lightweight natural language query interface
- Migrate business logic from Power BI and Tableau into a governed semantic layer

Required Skills:
- ✅ dbt Core & dbt Cloud
- ✅ dbt MetricFlow / Semantic Layer
- ✅ Snowflake
- ✅ Advanced SQL
- ✅ Dimensional Data Modelling
- ✅ REST/XML API Integration
- ✅ React (or similar frontend framework)
Nice to Have:
- ⭐ Power BI / DAX
- ⭐ Tableau
- ⭐ OpenMetadata
- ⭐ Snowflake Cortex Analyst / Semantic Views
- ⭐ Apache Ranger / Snowflake RBAC
- ⭐ Healthcare, Pharma, or Life Sciences domain experience
