🚨 We're Hiring: Data Centre Field Engineer / Data Centre Technician
Are you an experienced Data Centre professional looking for your next opportunity? We're seeking a reliable, hands-on Data Centre Field Engineer to support critical infrastructure based in Slough.
Key Responsibilities
- Rack and stack servers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other hardware
- Install, patch, dress, and troubleshoot copper and fibre cabling (single-mode & multi-mode)
- Deploy cable trunks and associated infrastructure equipment
- Perform moves, adds, changes, and decommissioning activities
- Install cross-connects and maintain accurate labelling standards
- Conduct cabinet audits, stock checks, and cage housekeeping activities
- Support RMA processes and equipment lifecycle management
- Receive, unpack, and manage deliveries within the data centre environment
- Work independently while escalating issues appropriately when required

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working within a Data Centre environment
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure hardware, including servers, switches, firewalls, storage devices, and networking equipment
- Experience reading and executing cable patch plans
- Fibre and copper fault-finding experience
- Ability to work comfortably across multiple sites
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable using Apple devices for ticket management and communications
- Ability to lift equipment up to 25kg and work at height using ladders
- Flexible approach to occasional out-of-hours maintenance activities
