DCM Corporates Europe

About the Job

  • Assist senior DCM Corporates Europe originators in analysing the funding needs and credit fundamentals of BBVA’s European corporate clients.
  • Prepare and supervise client pitches, deal with proposal requests and keep clients up to date with credit market analysis on an ongoing basis.
  • Preparation of regular pricing updates in coordination with Bond Syndicates in Europe and US.
  • Prepare value added materials and identify market opportunities by applying knowledge from various market sources (Bloomberg, macro-economic research, desk analysts, client specific news, etc.)
  • Part of the deal team to coordinate and support deal execution including due diligence, legal/documentation aspects, investor feedback, marketing materials and deal reviews.
  • Provide support and assist in the organization of different events and commercial actions with clients (Webinars, Roadshows, etc.).
  • Build direct cross functional relationships and liaise with other key stakeholders, e.g. Relationship Managers, Syndicate, Capital Solutions, Liability Management, Debt Advisory, Credit Research, Credit Analysts & ESG Credit teams to enhance the cooperation and to generate new ideas to present to our Corporate clients.

  • Prior work experience of 3 years to 5 years in Debt Capital Markets.
  • Educated to degree level (preferably in a numerical discipline such as economics or finance).
  • Good understanding of fixed income products and market dynamics
  • Strong quantitative, analytical skills. Significant understanding of credit fundamentals and balance sheet analysis
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, with key focus Excel and PowerPoint. Financial Modelling
  • Master of Bloomberg tools

Soft Skills

  • Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams/individuals. Ability to prioritize
  • Customer focus with strong communication, negotiation, commercial and analytical skills.
  • Solid professional writing skills.
