Provide and distribute BBVA’s DCM origination capabilities. Develop and maintain client relationships, providing them with credit markets information and investment recommendations adapted to their needs. Daily contact with clients for pricing and advice.

About the job

Mission

Assist the DCM team in analysing the funding needs of BBVAs clients and preparing marketing materials to expand BBVAs capabilities as originator in the debt markets.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Secondary and Primary markets, maintaining data base.
  • Master of Bloomberg tools to monitor Comparables secondary curve, bonds performance, relative value...
  • Preparation of regular pricing updates, in interaction with Bonds Syndicate, Credit research and Bankers teams.
  • Preparation of Clients Funding needs' analysis and credit overview.
  • Formulate and develop marketing materials (pitches, market updates and sectorial analysis). Support on generating new ideas to present to Clients.
  • Support on transactions execution. Such support may include coordinating due diligence, legal/documentation aspects, drafting investor feedback, marketing materials and case studies.
  • Build direct cross functional relationships with DCM team, Syndicate, Desk Analyst and Bankers in various geographies.
  • Help to organise, with the support of the Marketing unit, different events and commercial actions with clients (Webinars, Roadshows, etc.).

Academic background

  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Educated to degree level (preferably in a numerical discipline such as economics or finance)

  • Prior work experience in DCM or Syndicate of 1 year (minimum) to 4 years.
  • Good understanding of fixed income products and market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, with key focus Excel and Powerpoint. Financial Modelling.
  • Master of Bloomberg tools.

Language skills

  • Full professional proficiency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Spanish and other European languages will be valued.
