An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Debt Capital Markets lawyer to join the legal team of a leading global investment bank in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an associate with 2-4 years' PQE from a top-tier law firm to make their first move in-house and work closely with front-office stakeholders on a broad range of DCM transactions.
The Role
You will advise on a wide variety of debt capital markets matters, supporting the bank's business across multiple products and jurisdictions. Working as part of a high-performing legal team, you will gain exposure to complex and innovative transactions while developing strong commercial relationships across the organisation. Responsibilities will include: Advising on debt capital markets transactions, including EMTN programmes and standalone issuances. Reviewing, drafting and negotiating transaction documentation. Providing legal support to business and control functions on regulatory and product-related matters. Working closely with external counsel and internal stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. Contributing to strategic initiatives and legal projects within the wider team.

The Candidate
The successful candidate is likely to have: 2-4 years' PQE gained at a leading international law firm. Strong debt capital markets experience, ideally including EMTN programmes and a broad range of fixed-income products. Excellent technical skills combined with strong commercial judgement. The ability to build effective relationships with both legal and business stakeholders. A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
