d/Deaf Support Worker – Full-Time Role

We are looking for confident d/Deaf Support Workers with a passion for delivering outstanding care.
Position Overview
You’ll be working a full-time contract (37.5 hours per week) with 12-hour shifts, covering days, nights, and weekends at Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes.
Role Details

Your role will involve working with male and female service users on one of our high-priority Adult wards, supporting individuals with:
- Learning disability
- Autism
- Various mental health issues

Critical Requirement: Native British Sign Language (BSL) usage or a minimum Signature Level 2 qualification (due to deaf service provision).

Successful applicants will be required to complete a 3-week full-time induction before starting:
- Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm)

Cygnet Bury Dunes provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services, including:
- Specialist deaf services
- Emergency admission services

Care & Support Essentials
- Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all service users, patients, and residents
- Provide guidance and encouragement through both physical and emotional support
- Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way
Practical & Medical Support
- Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required
- Ensure safeguarding at all times

- Maintain a safe and clean environment for everyone
