As part of our great team here at DTFS, we have an exciting opportunity for a Dealer & Customer Territory Manager based in North England/Scotland. We’re looking for someone to be responsible for a defined territory and market channels, who is comfortable travelling to and working at Dealerships at least 3 days per week.
This role is perfect if you’d like to create, develop and maintain a Financial Services territory sales and customer focused strategy to establish sustainable Dealer & Customer relationships that result in new business and repeat business wins in line with our overall Sales and growth ambition and emerging data concepts for Truck and Bus developments.
What You Can Expect
Working in this role (also known internally as Senior Account Manager) you will:
- Exceed new business and repeat business sales targets whilst delivering sustainable profitability to the bottom line of DTFS in line with OP/FTR planning budgets and the RORAC pricing process.
- Proactively develop new and existing Customer relationships through a targeted face to face territory strategy in order to maximise all sales opportunities. Negotiate, influence and overcome objections at Board level to secure the business for DTFS. The customer and prospect base will largely reflect that of the Strategic Account Teams and Key Account Teams in both Truck and Bus.
- Proactively Manage all customer relationships throughout contract periods taking responsibility and ownership for all customer and DTFS requirements during life cycle of contracts, liaising with internal Operational admin teams where necessary.
- Prepare detailed credit applications clearly identifying any potential risks and opportunities whilst working closely with wholesale and credit risk colleagues to ensure proactive management of Customer credit facilities ensuring an “easy to do business with” approach to Customers.
- Work closely with Daimler Truck Dealer network and Bus to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to Customers and prospects in the context of both sales and customer satisfaction. Ensure timely resolution of Customer issues whilst contributing to the overall “easy to do business with” culture and processes.
- In conjunction with our international colleagues manage and develop the relationship/opportunity with all International Customers having a deep understanding of the UK’s role in the context of the global opportunity.
- Liaise with DTFS Legal team with any bespoke contractual amendment requests from customers from both a legal and commercial perspective.

We work flexibly with hybrid working. In this role you will be expected to spend at least 3 days per week in the field, working at the Dealerships within your territory. Throughout the year there will be team events held at our brand-new offices at Willen Lake, Milton Keynes, and it is expected that wherever feasible you attend these in person.

Qualifications
THAT’S WHY YOU ARE A MATCH
You May Have All/some Of These Skills
- Degree educated / calibre
- Several years’ experience in Financial Services Industry
- Gravitas with customers, colleagues and the dealer network
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Ability to compile and present complex credit applications commensurate with this size of customer
- Proven ability to negotiate and influence at Board level
- Knowledge of the Commercial Vehicle market
- Strong knowledge of finance and tax legislation
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Ability to develop a territory sales strategy
- Interpersonally savvy
- Ability to work on own initiative with a tenacious and self-motivated attitude
