Debt Advisory Director - Partner pathway
Debt Advisory Director, London
£120k to £150k base, plus bonus and clear route to Partner
You’re already doing Partner-level work. You just don’t have the title, platform or upside yet.
This is a chance to help build the London Debt Advisory proposition for an advisory platform with serious growth ambition.
Small team. Big internal network. Growing Corporate Finance team alongside you. Clear white space across London and the South.
This is not a delivery seat where you wait for someone above you to move on. It is a visible build role with a genuine route to Partner for someone who can originate and back themselves commercially.
This is aimed at someone who knows they can operate at the next level, but is not seeing enough pace, influence or commercial upside where they are.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Structured finance/leveraged finance, including:
- cashflow lending
- acquisition finance
- refinancing
- RCFs and debt raises
…typically across the £1m to £20m space.
The key is whether you can open relationships, spot opportunities and convert them into mandates.
This will suit someone with relationships across:
- private equity
- lenders
- corporates and introducers
who wants to use that network in a platform where Debt Advisory is being built, not buried.
Why it stands out
- Early senior hire in the London Debt Advisory build, with room to shape the proposition rather than inherit someone else’s structure.
- Genuine Partner pathway for someone who can turn relationships and opportunities into mandates.
- Growing Corporate Finance team alongside you, creating natural connectivity into deal activity rather than operating in isolation.
- Wider client and partner network to leverage across a platform that is actively investing in advisory growth.
- Clear white space across London and the South, with no large existing Debt Advisory team to work around.
- Opportunity to build something with senior visibility, not just service work passed down by others.
- Scope to help build the team underneath over time, before the platform becomes more established and the space becomes crowded.

The best fit is someone commercially credible, self-starting and ready for more influence than their current platform is giving them.
If the Partner route where you are feels slow, crowded or political, this is worth a conversation.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
