Senior Analyst / Associate – Debt Advisory
Location: London
Languages: Fluency in German or French is highly desirable
The Firm
A leading pan-European independent debt advisory firm is looking to hire a Senior Analyst or Associate into its London team.
The firm advises private equity sponsors and corporates across Europe on complex leveraged, corporate and fund financing situations. It has an established international presence and is recognised for its highly technical, hands-on approach, strong transaction flow and longstanding relationships with leading financial sponsors, banks and private credit funds.
The Role
The successful candidate will advise financial sponsors and leveraged corporates on a broad range of transactions, including:
- Acquisition financings and primary debt raises
- Refinancings and recapitalisations
- Amend-and-extend processes
- Restructurings and strategic financing reviews
- Fund and asset-level financings
The role offers exposure to a wide range of debt products, including senior bank debt, unitranche facilities, bonds, subordinated instruments, asset-backed financings and venture debt.
Transactions are executed in small deal teams, providing involvement throughout the full lifecycle of a mandate, from initial structuring and lender engagement through to negotiation and execution. The successful candidate will have regular exposure to senior management teams, financial sponsors, lenders and other advisers.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the execution of debt advisory mandates across multiple sectors and European jurisdictions
- Building, reviewing and developing financial models to assess transaction structures, debt capacity and credit metrics
- Conducting detailed credit analysis and reviewing commercial, financial and due diligence materials
- Preparing lender presentations, financing memoranda, management presentations and transaction marketing materials
- Evaluating different financing structures and providing clear recommendations to clients
- Managing interactions with banks, private credit funds, legal advisers and other transaction counterparties
- Supporting negotiations to secure competitive financing terms
- Undertaking market research, debt market analysis and comparable transaction benchmarking
- Participating in client meetings and strategic discussions with financial sponsors and senior management teams
- At Associate level, overseeing workstreams and supporting the development of Analysts and Interns
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- Experience within leveraged finance, debt advisory, corporate finance, transaction services, restructuring or a relevant lending platform
- Strong financial modelling skills, particularly cash-flow-based and leveraged finance modelling
- A practical understanding of debt structures, credit risk, commercial terms and financing documentation
- Experience managing transaction workstreams and coordinating multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality client materials
- A proactive, intellectually curious and commercially minded approach
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Professional fluency in German or French is strongly preferred
