Debt Capital Markets Associate – Origination
Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Centre
The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Centre is responsible for the origination of Eurobond and fixed income products across the EMEA region. As a Debt Capital Markets Associate – Origination, you will support the origination, structuring, and execution of debt capital markets transactions across corporate, financial institutions, sovereign and sponsor clients in the EMEA region. This is a full-time permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end execution of Debt Capital Markets transactions across:
- Investment Grade
- High Yield
- EMTN/MTN programmes
- ESG-labelled bonds This includes:
- Transaction materials
- Due diligence
- Rating processes
- Stakeholder coordination
- Pricing strategy
- Book-building activities
- Conduct detailed:
- Credit analysis
- Capital structure assessments
- Financial modelling To evaluate:
- Leverage
- Coverage metrics
- Covenant capacity
- Funding alternatives
- Refinancing strategies
- Transaction scenarios
- Own client interactions and product/service solutions. Provide advice directly to clients, identifying and presenting the most suitable financial products.
- Support senior bankers in:
- Client engagement and relationship development
- Contributing to funding strategy discussions
- Preparing market insights
- Identifying business opportunities
- Supporting cross-product collaboration
- Develop:
- Client materials
- Market updates
- Strategic recommendations While maintaining:
- Client intelligence
- Monitoring refinancing pipelines
- Funding requirements
- Monitor:
- EMEA fixed income markets
- Issuance activity
- Investor trends
- Pricing benchmarks
- Comparable transactions To support:
- Transaction execution
- Client advisory
- Analyze:
- Regulatory developments
- Market dynamics impacting debt capital markets activity Contribute to:
- Internal market commentary
- Research and reporting
- Perform additional responsibilities and projects as assigned to contribute to the team’s objectives and business priorities.

Requirements

- Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Business, Maths, or other relevant subject
- Solid experience in:
- Debt Capital Markets
- Debt Syndicate
- Leveraged Finance
- Corporate Banking
- Fixed Income Syndicate
- Structured finance
- Demonstrated experience in executing bond transactions within EMEA markets
- Exposure to cross-border and multi-currency transactions is preferable
- Solid understanding of:
- Bond mechanics
- Documentation
- Market conventions
- Knowledge of rating agency methodologies (Moody’s, S&P, Fitch)
- Excellent:
- Financial modelling skills
- Credit analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to:
- Translate complex market information into clear and actionable insights
- High attention to detail and ability to:
- Perform effectively under pressure
- Maintain quality standards
- Team player who is able to work independently
