Exciting Opportunity: Debt Recovery Accounts Assistant
Now, we're happy to offer you an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Debt Recovery Accounts Assistant. This is a full-time, permanent position located near the city centre, Edinburgh. You'll enjoy a standard workweek of 35 hours, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. The salary ranges from £23,500 to £24,000.
What the Job Involves
Accounts & Property Support Team is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations for our letting business to ensure all rent payments are collected and paid to our clients.
As well as this, the department undertakes several supplementary property support processes. This is a highly varied role where you will be responsible for overseeing various activities throughout the office.
This challenging role will put you on the front line, managing the debt recovery process. These will be in various forms of email and telephone. Making sure colleagues in managing the all workload to ensure we deliver expectational customer service. Overseeing the communication process with tenants in rent arrears, by phone, email to ensure payments are collected in line with tenancy agreements. Update system to record cases of rent arrears and liaise with all parties, landlords and tenants to ensure both parties are aware of agreed payment plans or next course of action. Create reporting for Team Managers and Department Heads to track open cases, highlighting cases based on tenant responses. Arrange weekly review meetings to discuss next steps. Arranging doorstep visits for Property Managers to discuss arrears with the tenants. Raising cases with the Housing & Property Chamber First-tier Tribunal for Scotland and attending any case management discussion where required.
