The Company currently have a vacancy for Deckhand in its ERRV/MRV fleet. Start date 12th July 2026. Permanent contract. 4 weeks on/off rotation
Suitable candidates require to have a minimum of 6 months relevant sea time and have worked as a Deckhand previously, preferably on an ERRV vessel. In return we offer a competitive salary, 28 days on/off rotation, contributory pension scheme and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
Required certificates:
- STCW Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1)
- STCW Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (A-VI/1-2)
- STCW Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)
- STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (A-VI/1-4)
- Seafarers medical.
- OPITO ITSO (or Medical Aid and Rescue Care)
- OPITO FRC Boatman

Deckhand is responsible for the following:

- The execution of duties as designated by watch keeping rota. Deckhand is responsible to the Watch Keeping Officer on Watch for any / all duties.
- Responsible to the Coxswain when engaged as a Rescue Craft crew member.
- Deckhands should be familiar with the use of Breathing Apparatus and possess basic Fire Fighting Skills.
- Forming part of both the vessel's on board Emergency Response team, and Rescue Craft's whereby applicable.
- Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance
- Actively promoting and progressing the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
- Actively promoting inter-departmental communications.
