Deckhand Position in PSV Fleet
The Company currently has a vacancy for Deckhand in its PSV fleet.
Start date: ASAP
Contract: Permanent
Rotation: 4 weeks on/off
Requirements
- Suitable candidates must have worked as a Deckhand/AB previously, on a PSV vessel.
- Required Certificates:
- STCW Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1)
- STCW Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (A-VI/1-2)
- STCW Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)
- STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (A-VI/1-4)
- Seafarers medical.

Responsibilities
- Execution of duties as designated by the watch keeping rota.
- Responsible to the Watch Keeping Officer on Watch for any/all duties.
- Responsible to the Coxswain when engaged as a Rescue Craft crew member.
- Deckhands should be familiar with the use of Breathing Apparatus and possess basic Fire Fighting Skills.
- Forming part of both the vessel's on board Emergency Response team, and Rescue Craft's whereby applicable.
- Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance.
- Actively promoting and progressing the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
- Actively promoting inter-departmental communications.
