At Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, every guest experience is shaped by the quality of our surroundings. As a Room Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring our guest rooms and public areas remain in outstanding condition, delivering the high standards of comfort, functionality and presentation that define the Nobu experience.
Working as part of our Engineering team, you will carry out preventative maintenance, repairs and refurbishment works while responding promptly to operational requirements across the hotel.
You will
- Carry out maintenance and repair work within guest rooms and public areas, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
- Diagnose and resolve common room defects efficiently and professionally
- Undertake painting and decorating works, including preparation, filling, sanding and finishing
- Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks and support wider engineering projects
- Carry out basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general maintenance repairs
- Complete grouting, silicone application and other room refurbishment works as required
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Support the upkeep of air conditioning and fire safety systems where required
- Maintain excellent health and safety standards and safe working practices at all times
- Work closely with colleagues across Engineering and Operations to support the smooth running of the hotel
- Provide a professional and guest-focused service when working in occupied areas
- Demonstrate reliability, accountability and a proactive approach to your work every day

What We're Looking For
You have previous experience in hotel maintenance, property maintenance or a similar hands-on role and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. You possess a broad maintenance skillset, including decorating, repairs and basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry disciplines.
You are highly organised, safety conscious and enjoy solving problems efficiently. With a positive attitude and strong attention to detail, you thrive as part of a team and understand the importance of maintaining a luxury environment for guests and colleagues alike.
