The Role: Defence Consulting Lead
As a Defence Consulting Lead, your role involves driving growth across Envitia’s Defence portfolio while delivering high-impact, client-facing consulting services.
Suitability
This is a senior, market-facing position suited to a Defence specialist who combines:

Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will combine:

Client delivery

Account development

Sector leadership to drive growth across Envitia’s Defence portfolio.

Deliver high-value client work:
- Act as a consultant on client engagements
- Clarify problems, design solutions, and deliver outcomes for Defence customers

Drive Defence sector growth:
- Identify and shape new business opportunities across MOD, Defence organisations, and industry partners
- Support pipeline development, bid activity, and account expansion

Build senior relationships:
- Cultivate trusted connections within the Defence ecosystem
- Position Envitia as a credible and valued partner

Collaborate across sales and delivery:
- Work closely with commercial and technical teams to develop solutions that align strategy with execution

Expand consulting capability:
- Contribute to growth of Envitia’s Defence consulting function
- Support recruitment, proposition development, and reusable asset building

Maintain professional and security standards:
- Ensure compliance with Defence requirements
- Reinforce Envitia’s reputation for trusted delivery
Experience Required
Seek an individual with a blended skillset:
- Defence sector specialist integrating:
- Consulting
- Delivery
- Commercial acumen
Must-Have Experience:

Direct UK Defence experience from:
- Consulting
- Delivery
- Programme leadership
- MOD services
- Specialised industry roles

Established network with credibility across:
- MOD
- Defence organisations
- Industry primes or suppliers

Track record of revenue growth through:
- Account development
- Opportunity shaping
- Bid activity

Experience delivering:
- Client-facing consulting
- Advisory work in complex environments
- Programmes involving multiple stakeholders

Domain Knowledge (Preferred):

Security Clearance Requirements
The role requires the candidate to:
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Security Check (SC) clearance
- DV clearance is preferred
Location
- Based predominantly remotely, with requirements for:
- 2 mandatory days per month in Envitia’s Horsham office.
- Regular engagements at:
- MOD sites
- Defence supplier premises
- Industry partner locations across:
- South West
- South East
- London and other locations as needed
