Delegate Sales Executive
Location: London (onsite)
Reporting to: VP of Delegate Sales
Salary: £35k + OTE
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Delegate Sales Executive to join a leading global events business within the energy sector.
In this role, you will be responsible for generating revenue through the sale of conference delegate passes and packages to both new and existing clients across a portfolio of international energy events. You'll engage with senior decision-makers from some of the world's largest organisations, including international oil companies, engineering firms, energy trading houses, consultancies, legal firms, government bodies and SMEs.
Working closely with the wider sales, marketing and conference production teams, you'll play a key role in driving attendance, developing new business opportunities and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive delegate sales revenue by selling conference passes and delegate packages to new and existing clients.
- Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across the global energy industry.
- Take ownership of a designated territory, managing your own accounts, pipeline and revenue targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation.
- Grow existing accounts through consultative selling and identifying opportunities for group delegate bookings.
- Research target markets, industry trends and competitor events to identify new prospects and maximise attendance.
- Collaborate with the marketing, data, sponsorship and conference production teams to support targeted sales campaigns.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and reporting using Salesforce or CRM systems.
- Attend conferences and industry events to strengthen client relationships and secure repeat business for future events.

About You
- Previous experience in B2B conference delegate sales or a similar consultative sales environment.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong new business development and account management skills.
- Confident building relationships with senior decision-makers over the phone and face-to-face.
- Excellent negotiation, objection handling and consultative selling skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
- Willingness to travel internationally to support conferences and client meetings when required.
