Role Description

The purpose of this role is to support and deliver delegated authority (DA) and proposition governance across Allianz Commercial within Underwriting & Product Services, ensuring activity is appropriately controlled, challenged and delivered in line with customer, regulatory and commercial expectations.

The role provides end-to-end coordination across delegated authority arrangements and proposition developments, ensuring robust governance, clear audit trails, effective oversight, appropriate challenge and timely approvals. The role supports alignment with Consumer Duty, Product Governance requirements, Allianz Holdings standards and internal governance frameworks while promoting the delivery of good customer outcomes.

Location: This role is based in our London or Guildford offices, please note that this is a hybrid working role, with an expectation to attend the office at least twice per month.

Salary Information

  • Pay: Circa £45,000 per year.
  • This is based on experience, skills and location and forms part of our total reward package.

About You

Proposition Governance

  • Support delivery and embedding of the proposition governance framework across Allianz Commercial.
  • Maintain and oversee the Propositions Register, ensuring accurate records and a clear audit trail
  • Lead completion of Proposition Development Templates (PDTs), ensuring appropriate challenge, relevant stakeholder engagement, evidence and approvals are obtained.
  • Track governance actions and decisions through to implementation and closure.
  • Identify governance gaps, risks, dependencies and potential customer impacts, escalating where appropriate.
  • Coordinate Proposition Development Steering including agendas and materials

Delegated Authority Governance

  • Conduct Partner Inspections where DA agreements are in place including remediation tracking
  • Support ongoing governance and oversight of DA arrangements
  • Maintain governance records, action logs and audit trails relating to DA arrangements
  • Maintain and update DA contracts
  • Assist co-ordination of DA annual reviews
  • Monitor governance activities and identify, escalate and track issues, risks and control weaknesses
  • Support implementation of Consumer Duty requirements within DA governance processes, including partner oversight, co-manufacturing responsibilities, fair value considerations and customer outcome monitoring.

Reporting, Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Produce and maintain governance reporting and management information for DA and proposition activity.
  • Maintain accurate information within reporting platforms and governance tools
  • Support development and enhancement of reporting platforms improve oversight, reporting and governance effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities to simplify governance processes and improve efficiency, consistency and control effectiveness.
  • Support implementation of AI, automation and digital tooling to reduce manual effort and improve governance outputs.
  • Contribute to broader governance, change and transformation initiatives across Underwriting & Product Services.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in insurance underwriting, delegated authority, product or proposition governance, or a related governance discipline
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple governance activities simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain robust audit trails
  • Experience producing governance reporting, MI and committee papers
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks, risk management and control environments

Desirable Skills

  • Understanding of delegated authority governance, including onboarding, inspections, contracts and annual reviews
  • Knowledge of Product Governance, Consumer Duty and customer outcome requirements
  • Experience working with proposition governance frameworks and PDT processes
  • Experience operating within formal governance forums and escalation routes
  • Experience improving processes through automation, digital tools or data-led insights
  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage
