Deli Manager Spar Silverwood

62 Silverwood Road, Lurgan, Co Armagh, BT66 6LE

Full-time permanent position available at 42.5 hours per week.

£14.63 per hour & benefits.

You will work within the opening hours of the deli 6am to 5.30pm, Monday to Sunday, with a degree of flexibility required.

A look into the role

Our Delish delis are a convenient place for our customers to stop for breakfast, lunch, or great coffee on the go. We’re looking for a special candidate who will lead our hard-working and friendly team, making it all happen - from preparing delicious food, first-class customer service at the deli counter, or maintaining great hygiene standards by keeping the prep and service areas clean. You’ll be supported by a team of brilliant people, and there are fantastic career development and progression opportunities.

As Delish Deli Manager you will:

  • Provide a first-class service to all of our customers.
  • Allocate work duties to other members of the Delish Deli team to ensure all duties are covered and to maintain a high-quality service at all times.
  • Exercise and enforce constant watch over Health & Safety, Security, Discipline, and Due Diligence.
  • Carry out food safety control checks in all areas to ensure all standards are being maintained and recorded.
  • Ensure stock is displayed in the correct position to attract sales, the correct price is displayed, and waste recording procedure is being followed.
  • Prepare and cook all food in line with company procedure and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the Delish Deli Department (front and back) is maintained at all times.
  • Be accountable for the enforcement of all legislative demands/standards of fire, health, hygiene, and safety and these conditions are strictly adhered to.
  • Undertake other duties as required for the role.

Skills for Success

  • A passion for food…with a proven track record for delivering a fantastic customer experience in a similar role. You’ll have at least 1 year’s experience in a serviced food role, and you’ll see your role as a profession, helping us to develop Delish Deli as a key destination for food on the go.
  • You’ll have at least 6 months’ experience in leading a team.
  • A positive attitude and a love for people…you’ll inspire and motivate your team to be the best.
  • Creative flair and an eye for detail, ensuring that excellent presentation and standards are maintained.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety practices and procedures - you’ll have minimum Level 2 qualification in Food Safety.
  • Commercial Awareness, and ability to deliver on Key Performance Indicators such as sales, costs, and profitability.
