Job Description
Role Overview
The Delinea PAM SME will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Privileged Access Management solutions using Delinea’s platform (formerly Thycotic). This role involves working closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure management of privileged accounts, credentials, and access across the enterprise. The SME will act as the technical authority for Delinea PAM, providing guidance, best practices, and troubleshooting expertise.
Key Responsibilities

Design & Architecture:
- Develop and maintain PAM architecture leveraging Delinea Secret Server and related modules.
- Define PAM policies, workflows, and integration strategies with enterprise systems.

Implementation & Configuration:
- Deploy and configure Delinea PAM solutions, including vaulting, session management, and password rotation.
- Integrate PAM with Active Directory, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and third-party applications.

Operations & Maintenance:
- Monitor PAM systems for performance, security, and compliance.
- Perform upgrades, patching, and health checks.

Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure PAM aligns with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
- Support audits and reporting for privileged access.

Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide Level 3 support for PAM-related incidents.
- Develop documentation and knowledge base articles.

- Training & Advisory:
- Train internal teams on PAM best practices.
- Advise stakeholders on risk mitigation and secure access strategies.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of Privileged Access Management principles and best practices.
- Expertise in Delinea Secret Server (on-prem and/or cloud).
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and LDAP.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with API integrations and RESTful services.
- Understanding of network security, firewalls, and SSL/TLS.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Desirable Experience
- 5+ years in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or Cybersecurity roles.
- Hands-on experience with Delinea PAM deployments in large enterprises.
- Experience integrating PAM with SIEM, ITSM, and DevOps tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security and hybrid environments.
- Exposure to Zero Trust Architecture and least privilege models.
- Knowledge and exposure to other PAM products/Vendors (CyberArk and BeyondTrust in particular
Certifications (Preferred)
- Delinea Certified Engineer (DCE) or equivalent vendor certification.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager).
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate.
- ITIL Foundation for process alignment.
