About the Role
The postholder will provide a consistent, high-quality, customer-focused delivery and collection service for libraries, museums, community hubs, and associated traded services.
This involves transporting a wide range of resources, including books, furniture, shelving, salvage, and other equipment, across West and North Northamptonshire, ensuring teams are effectively supported in delivering their services.
A Full Clean UK Driving Licence is required.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Commit to delivering an excellent customer experience, maintaining high customer service standards
- Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of resources
- Operate a van in compliance with Road Traffic Act regulations and planned schedules
- Respond to ad hoc requests promptly
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, maintenance, cleaning, and refuelling in accordance with council procedures
- Support loading, unloading, and warehousing of both service and supplier resources
- Maintain the van in safe operating conditions and adhere to all relevant processes
- Report any issues promptly to the appropriate manager
