About Amber Labs At Amber Labs, we are a cutting edge UK and European technology consultancy that prioritises empowering autonomy, promoting experimentation, and facilitating rapid learning to provide exceptional value to our clients. Our company culture is centred around collaboration, where all colleagues, regardless of their role, work together to minimise risk and shorten delivery times. Our team consists of highly skilled cross functional consultants, analysts, and support staff.
The Role Amber Labs is looking for a Delivery Director to provide account-wide delivery and engagement leadership across a strategically important UK Government account. The role oversees multiple service lines including Testing, Service Design and Business Analysis, ensuring delivery is well governed, commercially controlled and consistently aligned to client outcomes.
You will operate across delivery leadership, client engagement, commercial management, governance, managed service performance and account growth, working closely with the Account Director, internal capability leads, delivery teams and the client side PMO.
We are looking for a leader with experience in complex technology and managed service environments, ideally within UK Government or similarly regulated sectors, with enough technical delivery credibility to engage across solution, service design, transition and delivery conversations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
