The Role: Delivery Driver (3.5T Van)

Location: Sittingbourne, Plumb Centre Branch Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday (07:00 AM – 4:00 PM) with flexibility – no weekend work required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies within an 80-mile radius
  • Fulfil 10–30 daily deliveries, primarily to new-build construction sites, residential customers, and other businesses
  • Conduct vehicle checks
  • Load/unload deliveries, including manual handling of heavy items (e.g., boilers, radiators, toilets, sinks)
  • Assist in the warehouse if back early by:
    • Unloading/unpacking stock
    • Picking, packing, and stock-checking orders
    • General maintenance and tidying

Requirements

  • Full UK manual driving licence (clean licence required)
  • Experience preferred with multi-drop driving
  • Strong communication skills (clear and reliable)
  • Basic computer support and familiarity with PDA devices
  • Willingness to assist in warehouse operations for operational efficiency
  • Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and strong work ethic
