# Home Delivery Driver – Argos

About the Role

As one of the leading UK digital retailers, Argos provides customers with outstanding convenience, choice and value across a vast range of products. As a Home Delivery Driver, you’ll be responsible for delivering an industry-leading fast-track service, ensuring Argos products arrive at customers' doors efficiently and reliably.


Eligibility

To apply, you must:

  • Be over 18 and hold a full UK or EU driving licence for at least 12 months
  • Have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence
  • Pass an online driving risk assessment during the interview process
  • Undergo a driving assessment upon joining
  • Have Right to Work eligibility in the UK

As a Home Delivery Driver, you’ll be expected to work across a range of shifts, including:

  • Monday to Sunday: 5:00 am – 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, and 6:00 pm – 10:30 pm
  • Flexible availability to fit your schedule, with potential for:
    • Overtime opportunities
    • Occasional shifts at your local Sainsbury’s

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include:

  • Driving a 3.5-tonne van to:

    • Deliver a variety of products safely and on time
    • Ensure items arrive in good condition.
  • Completing workplace vehicle checks, including:

    • Ensuring the van is organised, clean and roadworthy
    • Securing delivery cases securely before heading out.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, including:

    • Addressing any customer queries
    • Keeping customers informed of delays if they arise.
  • Maintaining driving confidence in diverse conditions, such as:

    • Residential streets, busy urban areas, and narrow country lanes.
  • Operating technology confidently to improve the delivery process.

  • Supporting in-store tasks when not on deliveries, including:

    • Maintaining stockroom operations.
    • Assisting on the shop floor as needed.
  • Developing product knowledge to:

    • Recommend suitable items to customers.
    • Support promotional campaigns.
