Delivery Driver - Argos

Home Delivery Driver

About the Role:

As one of the leading UK digital retailers, Argos provides our customers with outstanding convenience, choice and value across a vast range of products for the moments that matter. As a Home Delivery Driver, you’ll deliver an industry-leading fast-track service that brings Argos products to our customers’ doors.


Eligibility:

You must:

  • Be over 18
  • Have held a full UK/EU driving license for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 points
  • Complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview. If successful, you’ll take an additional driving assessment when you join
  • Have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
  • Be available to work a variety of shifts, rotating through three time blocks daily (Monday to Sunday):
    • 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM
    • 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    • 6:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Shift availability may vary each week, and overtime opportunities may arise (including assisting local Sainsbury’s).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving deliveries: Operate a 3.5-tonne van to deliver Argos products safely, accurately, and in excellent condition to customers’ doorsteps
  • Vehicle and cargo checks:
    • Ensure the vehicle is organised, clean, and roadworthy
    • Verify deliveries are secured before starting routes, navigating various locations and conditions
  • Customer service:
    • Address customer queries with friendliness and professionalism
    • Communicate effectively regarding any delays or changes
  • Technology proficiency: Adapt to new systems and technology confidently while driving in diverse settings (urban streets, residential areas, and country lanes)
  • Support store operations: Assist with stockroomorganisation or shop-floor workflows when not driving
  • Product knowledge: Build familiarity with Argos products, services, and promotions to offer tailored advice
