Delivery Driver II (Class C and ADR)
Location: Loughborough (Bishop Meadow Road)
Pay Rate: GBP16.00 per hour (Salary Equivalent GBP30,000 per annum)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x (Average 8:10 hours available per week)
Daily Perk: GBP5.60 daily lunch allowance
Contract: 6 Month Initial Contract (Full-Time, 40.5 hours/week)
Shift Pattern: Days (Monday - Friday, approx. 04:00 - 14:00)
About The Role
Randstad is currently recruiting for a professional, customer-focused Delivery Driver II to join a global manufacturing leader at their Loughborough site.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of goods to and from customer and supplier premises. Operating in full compliance with transport regulations, you will manage multi-drop delivery routes, handle hazardous substances safely, and act as a professional representative of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport company goods and hazardous materials to and from designated locations safely and on schedule.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks, defect reporting, and maintain full compliance with MOT, Highway Code, and ADR regulations.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customer and supplier sites.
- Sort parcels into route drop sequences and assist supervisors with route planning and optimization.
- Complete accurate loading, delivery run sheets, and manage container/chemical bottle collection.
- Adapt flexibly to short-notice route changes, including occasional two-day delivery runs with overnight stays where required.

What We Are Looking For
Essential Criteria
- Licence: Clean, current UK Driving Licence with minimum Class C and Class C1 entitlements.
- Experience: Proven commercial experience as a multi-drop delivery driver.
- Certifications: Direct experience with ADR / Dangerous Goods transport.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of handling manual loads up to 25kg.
- Professionalism: Excellent customer service skills and a smart appearance.

Desirable Criteria
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Current ADR Vocational Licence.
