Working in a fast-paced plant and materials yard, you will carry out a wide range of driving work on a 3.5t, delivering to JGL construction sites and general yard preparation duties whilst reporting to the Yard Supervisor.
- Deliver plant and materials to construction sites safely and efficiently
- Load and unload delivery vehicles
- Maintain the delivery vehicle to a high standard and report defects immediately
- Responsibility for control & security of plant & materials with signed delivery confirmation
- Reporting damage, loss and yard issues promptly to line management
- Assist in maintaining the yard to a high standard of organisation and safety
- Labour work in the yard when required
- Ensuring processes, procedures and paperwork adhered to as per training & briefings
- Specific critical process of ‘Orsett HQ Yard Movements Procedure’ & ‘Out Of Hours Access Procedure’ including associated ‘Permit to Leave’ & ‘Permit to Access’ forms must be clearly understood and followed.
- Flexibility for ad hoc service support needs as required by the Yard Supervisor

Required Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Full driving licence
- Experience with working in a site or yard environment
- Work well under pressure and retain a positive attitude
- Experience operating different aspects of construction plant equipment
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to undertake training to expand product knowledge
