Part-Time Delivery Driver

Hey Little Cupcake is looking for a reliable, friendly and hardworking Part-Time Delivery Driver to join our growing team. You'll play an important role in ensuring our handcrafted cakes, cupcakes and sweet treats arrive safely to our customers across Manchester.
The Role
As one of the faces of Hey Little Cupcake, you'll be responsible for delivering our freshly baked products to customers, corporate clients, events and our Selfridges Trafford Centre concession.
Every delivery matters, and you'll take great care in transporting fragile celebration cakes and cupcakes, ensuring they arrive looking as beautiful as when they left our bakery.
Hours
- Part-time
- Morning shifts (typically from 7:00am/8:00am)
- Weekend availability is essential
- Additional hours available during busy periods and seasonal peaks
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver cakes, cupcakes and baked goods across Manchester and surrounding areas.
- Daily deliveries and stock transfers to our Selfridges Trafford Centre concession.
- Safely load and unload the company van.
- Handle delicate celebration cakes with care.
- Complete delivery schedules efficiently and on time.
- Carry out basic daily vehicle safety checks.
- Keep the delivery van clean, tidy and well-presented.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Assist with packing or preparing orders when required.
- Support the bakery team during quieter delivery periods.
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, reliable and punctual.
- Calm under pressure with excellent time management.
- Comfortable driving throughout Manchester.
- Professional and well-presented.
- Physically fit, as heavy lifting is involved.
- Able to work independently.
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
- Flexible and willing to help where needed.
Essential Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Aged 25 or over (due to company vehicle insurance requirements).
- Confident driving a company van.
- Excellent driving record.
- Able to work weekends.
- Able to lift heavy boxes and celebration cakes safely.
- Right to work in the UK.

Desirable
- Previous delivery driving experience.
- Experience working within hospitality, retail or food production.
- Knowledge of Manchester and surrounding areas.
