Pay & Schedule
- Great Pay: A competitive salary of £31,464 per annum (£15.37 per hour) plus an annual bonus of up to £2000 (paid quarterly for delivering an amazing service).

The Role
As a Driver (Grandfather Rights_extension), you’ll be part of a skilled 2-person team, completing 10–15 deliveries a day and installing furniture in customers’ homes.
This role involves:
- Being hands-on and physically demanding (regular lifting of heavy furniture, navigating stairs, tight spaces).
- Thriving in roles where pride in craftsmanship matters.
Core Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Completing all deliveries into customers’ homes in a safe and professional manner.
- Communicating effectively with customers before delivery to ensure they’re prepared for delivery.
- Ensuring furniture is delivered to the requested room and no rubbish remains after dismantling.
- Consistently representing The Sofa Delivery Company’s values and those of our brand partners (DFS and Sofology).
- Working with your team and managers to provide feedback for continuously improving our service standards.
- Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment inspections, reporting any defects or missing items promptly.
- Strictly adhering to all driving laws and company policies.

Candidate Requirements
The role is ideal if you meet these criteria:
Licensing & Experience
- Hold a 7.5T Licence, Grandfather rights or ROI equivalent.
- Valid Digi Tacho.
- Valid CPC Card.
- Valid manual driving licence for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 points.
Behavioral Requirements
- Ready to work within a supportive two-person team.
- Strong customer service skills, thriving when helping others.
- Comfortable with installing, lifting heavy furniture, and operating in various home settings.
- Strong time-management skills and enjoyment of structured but varied work.
- Prioritisation of safety, including the safety of yourself, fellow workers, and customers.
