The Role Highlights
Here’s what we offer to our Delivery Team Members:
Competitive Compensation
- Annual salary: £34,227 per year (£16.75 per hour)
- Quarterly bonus: Up to £2,000 annual bonus (delivered in 4 quarterly instalments)
- Sign-on bonus: £1,000 paid in 2 instalments (£500 after 3 months, £500 after 6 months)

- "4-on, 4-off" rotation: Work a 7am–7pm shift, then enjoy 4 days off to rest and recharge before repeating. This ensures a predictable, guaranteed 39.35-hour workweek, equivalent to working approximately 6 months of the year.

Responsibilities
As part of a skilled two-person team, you’ll be responsible for:
- ** Completing 10–15 deliveries daily** by installing and delivering furniture safely and professionally into customers’ homes.
- Pre-delivery customer communication: Ensure customers know your exact arrival time.
- Room placement guarantee: Install furniture in the specified room and leave no rubbish behind.
- Commitment to company values: Represent The Sofa Delivery Company and our partners with integrity and excellence.
- route feedback & continuous improvement: Work with your team and managers to elevate service standards.
- Vehicle care: Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections, reporting any defects or missing items immediately.
- Compliance: Adhere to all driving laws and DFS group policies and procedures.
Eligibility & Requirements
This role is ideal if you:
- Hold a valid 7.5-tonne licence/Grandfather rights/ROI equivalent, valid Digi Tacho, and CPC card.
- Have held a manual driving licence for at least 12 months with fewer than 6 penalty points.
- Can thrive as part of a supportive two-person delivery team, prioritising collaboration.
- Enthuse about customer service and enjoy tailor-made interactions.
- Embrace hands-on work, including lifting heavy items and navigating tight spaces.
- Excel in time management with a changing dynamic schedule.
- Take pride in quality workmanship and safety protocols, ensuring your own protection and that of others.
