The Highlights

Here’s what we offer:

Compensation

  • Great Pay: A competitive salary of £35,837 per annum (£17.51 per hour). Plus an annual bonus of up to £2,000, paid quarterly for delivering an amazing service.
  • Sign-On Bonus: A £1,000 sign-on bonus paid in two instalments (£500 after 3 months; £500 after 6 months).

Work-Life Balance

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work as part of a skilled two-person delivery team, completing 10–15 deliveries daily while installing furniture in customers’ homes. This is a physically demanding role, involving:

  • Regular lifting of heavy items.
  • Navigating stairs and tight spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all deliveries into customers’ homes safely and professionally.
  • Communicate effectively with customers before arrival to ensure they’re prepared.
  • Ensure furniture is delivered to the requested room and leave no rubbish to dispose of.
  • Represent The Sofa Delivery Company’s values and those of our brand partners at all times.
  • Work with your team and senior managers to give valuable feedback, continually improving service standards.
  • Conduct daily vehicle/equipment inspections, notifying the line manager immediately if any defects or missing items are found.
  • Strictly comply with all driving laws, government regulations, and company policies/procedures.

Is This Role For You?

The role is ideal if:

Licensing & Experience

✅ You hold:

  • 7.5T Licence/Grandfather rights/ROI equivalent, along with:
  • An up-to-date Digi Tacho.
  • A valid CPC Card.
  • A valid manual driving licence. ✅ Your licence has been held for 12+ months with 6 or fewer points.

Personal Fit

✅ You’re ready to work as part of a supportive two-person team. ✅ You love helping people—being customer-focused gives you a high. ✅ You’re comfortable installing and lifting heavy furniture, including in various home settings. ✅ You’ve got strong time management skills and thrive on variety in your day-to-day work. ✅ You take pride in your work and place a high value on safety—your own and others’.
