Delivery Lead

Bupa Place, Salford Quays / Angel Court, London / Willow House, Staines / Kirkstall Forge, Leeds – hybrid working (1 day in the office)

  • Type: 18-month fixed-term, Full Time (37.5 hours/week)
  • Remuneration: £56,000
  • Reporting to: UK Insurance Transformation leadership

You’ll work across UK Insurance Transformation, leading programmes, projects, and major workstreams from planning to delivery. You will bring together business and technical teams, leveraging Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches to ensure effective, efficient transformation—with customers at the heart of every priority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic change initiatives & complex programmes, ensuring delivery of agreed outcomes, benefits, and milestones.
  • Build and manage delivery plans, budgets, risk, dependencies, and governance across programme lifecycles.
  • Align business, technology, and third-party teams to deliver successful change.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape solutions, problem-solve, and sustain delivery momentum.
  • Act as a Scrum Master where required, fostering agile collaboration.
  • Mitigate risks, escalate issues, and address blockers to maintain timelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement, embedding effective ways of working and a strong delivery culture.
  • Ensure all initiatives comply with Bupa’s governance, regulatory, and risk frameworks.

##Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years leading business/technology change programmes with measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong background in managing complex programme/project lifecycles across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
  • Expertise in planning risks, budgets, resources, and dependencies.
  • Proven ability to influence and report to senior leadership and executives.
  • Relevant experience in financial services, healthcare, or insurance (especially FCA-/CQC-regulated environments).
  • Commercial acumen with a track record of value-led outcomes.

###Desirable (Plus Points)

  • Prince2, MSP or Scrum experience.
  • Background in healthcare insurance or related markets.
