Delivery Lead

Delivery Lead (Fixed Term) – 18 Months

Location: Hybrid (in-office 1 day/week at:

  • Bupa Place, Salford Quays
  • Angel Court, London
  • Willow House, Staines
  • Kirkstall Forge, Leeds)

Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), Fixed Term (18 Months) Salary: £56,000

Reporting into UK Insurance Transformation, you will lead programmes, projects, or major workstreams from planning through to delivery, uniting business and technical teams to achieve success. Whether working under Agile, Waterfall, or a hybrid approach, you will inspire a culture where customers are at the centre of every decision, ensuring change is implemented effectively, efficiently, and sustainably.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of strategic change initiatives, ensuring agreed outcomes, benefits, and milestones are met on time and within scope.
  • Develop and manage delivery plans, budgets, risks, dependencies, and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with business, technical, and third-party teams to drive successful transformation projects.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to shape solutions, navigate challenges, and maintain momentum in delivery.
  • Lead teams using Agile frameworks (including acting as a Scrum Master as needed).
  • Identify and resolve risks, issues, and bottlenecks, ensuring proactive escalation where necessary.
  • Embed continuous improvement, fostering a strong delivery culture aligned with Bupa’s governance, regulatory, and risk frameworks.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

✔ 5+ years of experience in programme/project/change delivery, with proven measurable outcomes. ✔ Expertise managing complex delivery plans, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies. ✔ Strong stakeholder management, including experience influencing and reporting to senior leaders and executive stakeholders. ✔ Business acumen with a track record of driving value-led outcomes. ✔ Leadership experience enabling cross-functional and matrix teams to achieve ambitious targets. ✔ Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with resilience under pressure. ✔ Experience with risk, benefits, and resource planning in regulated environments. ✔ Familiarity with financial services, healthcare, insurance, or similar industries. ✔ FCA and/or CQC compliance experience (a must in a regulated sector).

Desirable

🔹 Knowledge of Prince2, MSP, or Scrum Agile frameworks. 🔹 Industry experience in healthcare insurance or health-related sectors. 🔹 Exposure to governance methodologies in regulated markets.
