Delivery Manager – Embedded Software Project Lead
About the Role
We're looking for a Delivery Manager to lead cross-functional engineering teams delivering custom software for our clients.
This is a hands-on, embedded role focused on making delivery happen:
- Running agile teams day-to-day
- Keeping work flowing smoothly
- Removing blockers
- Ensuring projects land on time, to quality, and with client collaboration throughout
You’ll work directly with engineers, designers, and clients—not passively overseeing, but navigating the entire path from plan to production, ensuring alignment and execution.
This is about practical software delivery:
- Shaping team workflows
- Managing scope, risk, and dependencies
- Representing the trusted link between technical teams and clients, keeping everyone confident and unblocked.
- Creating conditions where cross-functional teams can excel.
Responsibilities
Core Delivery Leadership
- Lead software project delivery from initial planning to production
- Adopt and adapt agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, or bespoke flows) with transparent facilitation
- Maintain delivery momentum, cadence, and productivity
- Proactively uncover blockers, resolve them internally and externally
- Foster a healthy, supportive team environment where engineers thrive
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary delivery contact to clients
- Build trusted relationships while managing expectations honestly
- Translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders:
- Ensure clients grasp trade-offs and technical realities
- Ensure engineers understand client intent and commercial needs
- Manage all aspects of delivery governance across projects

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
